Cairns Airport Update

As Cairns Airport reached its first major milestone in its $200M redevelopment, CNG has successfully delivered stage 1 of the new, state of the art, Bosch Praesideo Public Address and Evac System.
The cutting edge Praesideo system will provide a combination of first class broadcast quality audio and announcements coupled with “Evac Certified” emergency warning and evacuation tones in the event of a terminal emergency.
The addition of hearing aid loops in the Check In area also means that people with hearing impairments can listen to broadcasts through the induction loop system.
The integration of a completely new PA and Warning system into a complex and live enviroment such as a major airport is not without its challenges and the CNG Project team have much to be proud of.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2010 and is the third airport Praesideo System deployed by CNG, following on from Brisbane and Melbourne.
