Background

In the aftermath of the Black Saturday Bush fires, the Royal Commission recommended the introduction of Community Warning Siren Systems as an early warning platform for vulnerable communities.

Approach

As a design and construct of essentially new technology, CNG worked closely with the Victorian Government and other key stakeholders to analyse and refine the solution through proof of concept testing.

Solution

The challenge of securely interfacing the remote siren site into both the Governments Emergency Management Platform and the Emergency Pager network was resolved with CNG designing and building its own interface hardware, the CNG MPDI.

Testimonials

“CNG have a responsive work ethos, a real can-do attitude when it comes to resolving complex technical problems.
In the project they worked on with me, they pulled out all stops to get the work done despite a highly challenging timeline. They were always prepared to meet me halfway and worked harmoniously with a number of different stakeholders.”
